As experienced family law attorneys we know what can happen in family law courts and we have seen how unfair the court system can be.Instead of accepting this as the norm, we’ve decided to take action by creating The Family Mediation Center. We didn't want other couples to have to deal with the stress and pain of divorce, only to have to navigate a broken court system on top of it. We knew that divorce was hard enough already, and we wanted to help.
That's why we started our own practice, focused on helping couples dissolve their marriages in a way that was as stress-free and amicable as possible. We understood the importance of communication between spouses and wanted to make sure that couples worked together through the dissolution or divorce process so that their children would have minimal trauma surrounding it.
Our approach was different from what most people expected from divorce attorneys. Instead of encouraging our clients to fight tooth and nail in court, we worked with them to find solutions that were fair to both parties. We encouraged open and honest communication, and we helped their clients navigate the emotional complexities of divorce with compassion and understanding.
We know that divorce is never easy, but we believe that it doesn't have to be a traumatic and destructive experience. We are committed to helping couples dissolve their marriages in a way that is as stress-free and amicable as possible, and we look forward to continuing to serve our local families for years to come.
Our founding mediators, Deborah L. McPartlin and Gayle M. Warm, believe in helping families and individuals come to terms with their family law issues. With over 20 years of collective experience helping families and individuals through divorce and other family law issues, Deborah and Gayle’s goal is to make sure that going to court can be avoided and that families and individuals get what they need–and want, out of their divorce or family law situation.
